I have been told on at least 7 occasions that I have to have a cable box to receive any service, even basic, from Verizon fios no matter what type of TV I have - True or False

Category:FiosTV FAQ

True and False. It depends if the central office area has stopped broadcasting analog signals. If they haven't, you will still be able to receive channels 2 to 49 on a TV. If they have stopped broadcasting, you will need at least a digital conversion tuner (DCT) to allow the TV to pick up the digital video signals.
